Stephen joined OpCapita as an Operating Partner in 2012. He participates in investee company Operational Review meetings, plays a major role in the assessment and business planning for new investments and serves on OpCapita's Investment Committee.

Stephen has a wealth of experience from listed and private equity backed companies, predominantly in consumer related industries. He was Operational Managing Director at Terra Firma for eight years where he played a major role, as Chairman, in the turnaround and development of a number of high profile consumer businesses including the international music company EMI, where an operational turnaround resulted in a trebling of profits in just three years, as well as Odeon Cinemas and Meridien Hotels. Previously, he was CEO of Hillsdown Holdings, a conglomerate including Premier Foods, for Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst. He spent 17 years at Allied Domecq in a number of senior positions, developing and implementing growth strategies and portfolio management in a variety of consumer businesses including being responsible for 4500 UK pubs and the international franchise businesses, Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin Robbins, generating in total £2 billion of revenues. Stephen was CEO of Lyons (the food division) then CEO of Allied Domecq Retailing and a PLC Board Director.

Stephen is Chairman of Sebeto, the parent company of Rossopomodoro, an OpCapita investee company and Chairman of Hotel Chocolat Plc.
